Does my project need an interior designer?

Are you able to work with my architect, builder, or contractor?
Absolutely. For best results, we recommend assembling your team early, to enable collaboration and ideation between parties. With a background in architecture, I can work hand in hand with your architect, builder, or contractor to help make any structural, electrical, or other changes that will impact or enhance the interior design (think electrical sockets for scones, built pocket doors, etc.), expanding your design possibilities and allowing for a more intentional, custom home design.
Do you have a specific style?
Yes - YOUR style. My goal with each project is for your loved ones to walk into your home and say “Wow - it’s so YOU!” While our tried & true design process is consistent, each project is unique in its solution and execution. Unsure of your style? Not to worry - discovery and definition is all part of the process.
Can you recommend a contractor/trades?
Partnering with professional tradespeople is a crucial part of our process. We'll work with our team of trades to prepare estimates for the work we recommend and oversee their progress throughout your project. If you are already working with a licensed contractor, your proposal will detail how we'll communicate and collaborate with their team to ensure a seamless process.
How long will my project take?
Projects vary in time and scope. Once your project has begun, research, design, and material selections plus bid documents usually take around 16-20 weeks. Ordering and construction can take anywhere from 12-24+ weeks and is based upon the production schedules of our vendors and availability of contractors and other tradesmen.
How much is a typical interior design investment?
Our clients typically have renovation budgets beginning at $30,000 for a bathroom and $100,000 for a kitchen.
How much are design fees?
The investment for our design services is determined by the scope of the project. We charge a combination of a fixed fee and hourly rates. Our fees are comprehensive to cover all aspects of the project. As you become an LBC Design client, your specific design fees will be fully outlined in your proposal.
