This kitchen was my favorite kind of project, a puzzle. With multiple rooms and bad circulation, pen and paper came out and it was time to reorganize. We annexed an existing office, moved the main kitchen area and now when you walk in the front door instead of seeing the side of an old range, you glimpse a bar room layered in brass, bronze and with a pop of color, it’s the perfect transition point between foyer, kitchen and dining room. But the true star and the client's one request was the checkerboard floor. Going off that strong pattern, the color palette is neutral with pops of yellows and brass. Plus storage is king, with not one but 2 pantries and multiple places to pull up a seat from the counter stools to the breakfast banquette. I might never leave!
